1) Adopt - A - Shelter $2,000: Your organization will adopt the VETS PLACE Emergency Shelter and the vets that reside there. In recognition of your support a plaque will be placed on the wall in the Community Room acknowledging  your organization  as a sponsor of the Adopt- A -Home Program. The Community Room is where the veterans spend time together and eat each day and is where the Main Office is located. You and your selected guests will be invited to visit the VETS PLACE at 32 Mill Road in Yaphank, at which time a certificate of appreciation will be presented to the sponsors.

2) Adopt - A - House $1500: Your organization will adopt one of the houses and the veterans that live there. In recognition of your support a plaque will be placed on the wall near the entrance into the house  acknowledging your organization as a sponsor of the Adopt - A - Home Program. You and your selected guests will be invited to visit the house they will sponsor. At that time a certificate of appreciation will be presented to each participating sponsor.

3) Booster Sponsor - "Give what you can afford.": Your organization will sponsor one of the seven homes or the Vets Place Emergency Shelter. In recognition of your support as a Booster Sponsor your name will be published in our newsletter acknowledging you as a participant in our Adopt- A - Home Program and you and your organization will receive a certificate of appreciation for your participation and support.

4) Individual Donations: All individual donations to the Adopt - A - Home Program will be acknowledged with a certificate of appreciation which will be mailed or presented to you.

Please be sure to indicate that your donation is part of the Adopt - A - Home Program.

Suffolk County United Veterans is a 501 (c) (3) not for-profit, tax exempt organization. A copy of our Annual Report is available through this website and a copy of our financial status is available through the NY State Charities Bureau. Your contribution is tax deductable to the fullest extent of the law.
