The Suffolk County United Veterans Project, Inc. (SCUVP) also provides educational assistance and job training for our homeless veterans.  Rather than solely rely on the external market forces for employment, the organization opted to create its own employment base by establishing the Veterans Educational Training Services (V.E.T.S.).  This was established for two purposes:  first, to address the job training and employment needs of our veteran clientele and second, to have the organization run a supportive employment program. Veterans are trained and employed on site as drivers, desk managers and as maintenance crew.
